We are selling this stunning French floral painting. This oil on canvas painting features roses and another red flower in a cartouche decoration. The painting is highly stylized and we believe to be French and late 18th or early 19th century. The painting appears to have been rolled giving the surface of the canvas a distressed look. I think the frame is hung upside down.
Condition: The painting was rolled at one point which has caused linear losses in the oil and heavy crazing. Framer hung it upside down in my opinion.
