Hand-blown Murano art glass vase featuring a classic amphora form with applied cobalt blue scroll handles.
The surface exhibits a scavo-style textured finish layered over an iridescent opaline ground, producing a softly weathered, archaeological appearance with subtle rainbow tonality when viewed in natural light and partially opaque.
The scavo effect—intentionally etched and pitted—creates an aged, tactile surface reminiscent of ancient Roman glass, a technique revived and popularized by Murano workshops in the mid-20th century. Retains original Murano foil labelaffixed over the lintel.
