Exceptional late-19th to early-20th-century French Empire Revival wall lantern featuring a tall architectural form, gilt brass details, black lacquered body, and a striking heraldic eagle finial. This impressive piece includes its original thick beveled glass panels, showcasing hand-cut facets and beautiful optical depth – a rare surviving element that significantly enhances its value.
Decorative pierced galleries, classical ornamentation, and the elongated torch-like structure reflect the grandeur of late Napoleon III and early Belle Époque lighting design.
The lantern retains its original antique internal socket and early wiring, which add authenticity but must be replaced or professionally inspected before use, as they do not meet modern electrical safety standards.
