a pair of elegant serving bowls by just andersen, crafted in pewter. The soft, clean lines and characteristic handles reflect the danish art deco style for which andersen gained international recognition. Just andersen (1884–1943) was a danish sculptor and designer, educated at the royal academy of fine arts in copenhagen. He founded his own workshop in 1918 and became especially renowned for his works in pewter, diskometal, and bronze. His design language combines functionalism with decorative art deco traits, and today his works are represented in several international museums.
