Each vertical panel is woven with a classical still-life composition centered on a fruit-laden urn overflowing with peaches, grapes, and foliage, set upon an architectural pedestal and framed by richly draped curtains with tassel accents. The imagery reflects the enduring Neoclassical decorative vocabulary long associated with French tapestry production.
Woven in wool with cotton foundation threads, the panels display the soft, painterly handling and subtly muted palette characteristic of Aubusson-type work, including tones of terracotta, sage green, warm ochre, blush, and deep wine red.
