Original and wonderfully vintage, this large majolica earthenware platter features a trompe-l'oeil decoration of a lobster, mollusks, and shells on a sandy background. The colors are vibrant and the subject is very realistic. Unfortunately, one antenna is missing; otherwise, it is in very good condition. Circa 1950, unsigned.
