This vintage photo frame, dating to approximately the … Read more Refined mid-20th-century tabletop photo frame attributed to the Italian luxury brand Gucci. This vintage photo frame, dating to approximately the 1970s, is distinguished by a charming nautical-themed decoration. The front surface is covered in hammered suede leather and embellished with raised silver-plated metal miniatures depicting nautical ropes and marina chains—the latter being one of Gucci’s characteristic decorative motifs of the period and now once again in vogue. Almost certainly made in Italy, this tabletop photo frame is in good vintage condition. The dark brown leather backing and the chromed metal supports have been thoroughly cleaned and treated with protective products, as have the raised silver-plated decorations.

The round frame—fashionable at the time—has an overall diameter of 17 cm (approximately 6.7 inches), while the photo opening measures 6.2 cm x 6.2 cm (approximately 2.4 x 2.4 inches). Inside the frame, we have left the original period photograph, dating to approximately the 1930s, with which it was found at the time of purchase. See less
