This is the original and genuine iconic industrial Nicolle chair still made to this day in a small workshop outside Paris. We have always been huge admirers of Nicolle, snapping up vintage products whenever we could find them, and we were humbled when the contemporary team at Nicolle agreed to let us be official stockists. The contemporary Nicolle chair is still made in exactly the same way it has been made for nearly a century. Each chair is made by hand on the original tools using the same rigorous industrial production. Nicolle was founded in 1913 by Paul-Henry Nicolle when he started his industrial journey as a metal presser and stamper. The famous stool was designed first in 1933, originally for use in his own factory before demand saw it being sold throughout France. The original design featured three legs but was changed to four in 1936, the addition of the chair was an obvious evolution. The solid pressed steel chair is available in the height and colour options listed in the drop down box. Each chair is made to order and the standard lead time is approximately 4 weeks although please allow some flexibility as delays in customs can occur.
