Rare set of six authentic "La Raclette" divided plates by Pillivuyt France. These plates were specifically designed for the traditional Alpine meal of melted cheese, meats, and potatoes. Each plate features a crescent-shaped divider to keep your chilled accompaniments separate from the warm, melted cheese and potatoes.
The whimsical illustrations depict the essential ingredients for a perfect raclette feast: jambon cru, cornichons, potatoes, and onions. The center features French text detailing the traditional menu, including the recommendation for a "vin blanc très sec" (very dry white wine). These plates are a conversation starter. Pair them with a rustic linen runner and heavy bistro glassware to create an authentic "après-ski" atmosphere right at your dining table.
This pattern was a boutique European release only, likely from the late 1980s or 1990s. While Pillivuyt’s "Brasserie" line is common in the US, this specialized raclette design was only released in Europe.
