Unusual in form and whimsically decorated, this gold-trimmed, handpainted Meissen lidded jar or pill box will be a treasured addition to any porcelain collection. Small in size (2.25" tall), but big on charm, it features beautifully painted floral motifs and insect accents.
The base is marked with the traditional Meissen blue crossed swords. In this case, the style of the mark--blue crossed swords with straight crosspieces--indicate that this pill box was produced in the 1947- 1973 period.
