Wm. A. Rogers Ltd. was founded in the 1890s by William A. Rogers, originally a small New York storekeeper. The firm succeeded the Niagara Silver Co. and bought Simeon L. & Geo. H. Rogers Co. in 1918. The company operated in New York and Northampton, Massachusetts, before being acquired by Oneida in 1929.
