In 1930, Josef Kuba opened a porcelain china factory in Czechoslovakia. During WWII, the Germans occupied the area. After the war, Kuba moved his factory to Barvarian Wiesau because the region was reknown for high quality natural resources needed to craft porcelain ware. It’s estimated this Fish Dinnerware Set of 9 pieces was produced in West Germany in the 1960s based on the makers mark, which Kuba used between 1952 and his death in 1972. The set features six dinner plates, an oval platter, a round serving bowl and a gravy bowl with attached under plate. Each has a white porcelain ground with a gold band around the rim. There are seven different species of fish displayed.
