Antique Pine Two Over Two Drawers - Chest of Drawers From England
This chest of drawers is made from "pitch" pine. While it is a soft wood, it is heavier that English pine. The wood is actually native to North America and was used in England for country furniture or church fittings. We found this chest of drawers in northeastern England.
It has brass handles and the detailed carving is a nice feature.
Circa 1880.
