This refined Chinoiserie-style bar cabinet represents a classic example of mid-20th-century Oriental craftsmanship (circa 1950-1960). The entire structure is decorated with fine black lacquer featuring a dense and fascinating crackle effect, attesting to its authenticity and period.
The front is embellished with elaborate scenes of court life and floral motifs created using the relief technique, featuring precious mother-of-pearl inserts that lend brilliance and depth to the figures and architectural details. The profiles are finished with gilded geometric-patterned borders and are complemented by original, finely engraved burnished brass hardware.
Inside, the cabinet reveals its functional and scenographic purpose: the bar compartment is entirely lined with antique-look mirrors and features glass shelves, all enhanced by an internal lighting system that creates an elegant atmosphere, ideal for showcasing cocktail service or fine bottles.
