Victorian English majolica pond lily sugar bowl, circa 1880. This sculptural sugar bowl features a rounded form modeled with raised pond lily leaves and finished in soft green and cream glazes. The piece is fitted with a domed lid topped with a knop finial and flanked by scrolling handles.
The interior is finished in a cream glaze, offering pleasing contrast to the exterior decoration. Unmarked, as often found with English majolica of this period.
