This Italian micromosaic picture frame features finely set glass tesserae arranged in a floral border of jewel tones, framing a softly arched gilt metal opening. Each tiny fragment is hand-laid, reflecting the long micromosaic tradition perfected in Italy for luxury souvenirs and decorative objects throughout the 20th century.
The arched silhouette adds architectural presence, while the richly colored mosaic work gives the frame depth and visual texture. A refined decorative accent for desks, shelves, or display cabinets, and a beautiful way to showcase a cherished portrait or keepsake image.
