This mask is from Cirebon in Java. With dark, reddish skin and slits either side of its pupils for the eyes through which the masked dancer sees. The mask shows clear traces of great age and long usage with multiple layers of paint becoming exposed and even the original wood in some parts. Height with stand 17.71" See less
