Exceptional American Arts & Crafts rocking chair by the Charles P. Limbert Company of Grand Rapids, Michigan, circa 1905–1915. Crafted in solid quartersawn oak with a warm, well-preserved original finish, this chair exemplifies Limbert’s refined interpretation of the Mission style.
The chair features a classic slatted back with gently curved rails, sturdy armrests with exposed joinery, and gracefully shaped rockers. Construction is tight and solid throughout, with excellent patina and minimal wear consistent with age. The original Limbert maker’s stamp is present. The seat includes a fitted leather cushion that complements the piece and adds comfort.
A highly desirable and authentic example of early 20th-century American Arts & Crafts furniture, suitable for collectors and sophisticated interiors alike.
