Offered here is an antique Arts & Crafts, Gothic, or Renaissance Revival-style, solid brass "pan" chandelier supporting six lights. Dating from the early 20th century, the light fixture’s substantial brass band or "pan" features four figural faces—possibly frowning monks. Be warned: If you hang it over the kitchen island, those expressions might be misconstrued as a commentary on your cooking. Likewise, the bedroom. But in the front entry or dining area, the monks’ demeanor could begin another type of conversation.
The main structure, chain, and bulb holders are made of solid brass with an aged patina. Crafted in frosted glass, the globe shades feature a decorative wheel-cut starburst pattern.
