Likely made around 1820-30, it … Read more A very nice early large eight drawer American curly Maple chest with Pine secondary wood. Likely made around 1820-30, it has four small drawers over four larger drawers resting on nicely turned feet. Molded panel sides are mortised into the case. The glass knobs are all old and matching but probably are a later replacement . Top drawers are nicely dovetailed and the through mortise construction is evident in the photos of the back. Drawers are all gliding smoothly in the case. Very nice old and possibly original surface with a great color and patina. See less
