Sheffield refers to silver plated over copper, very popular in the 19th century--typical of Sheffield pieces, this vase exhibits copper showing through in places, a characteristic that collectors expect to see. Very good condition with a small dent on the side of the base, as pictured. It is marked on the underside with an unrecognizable figure of a hand. A beautiful survivor of the 19th century and a real show stopper. See less
