Beautiful pair of authentic Wassily chairs, designed by Marcel Breuer (1925, Bauhaus) and produced by Gavina, one of the most important Italian modernist furniture manufacturers.
Designer: Marcel Breuer
Gavina (original label on the frame — reg. trade mark Gavina S.p.A. made in Italy)
Model: Wassily (also known as Model B3)
Materials: Polished chromed tubular steel frame with original black leather straps for seat, backrest, and armrests.
1960s–1970s.
Excellent vintage condition with normal signs of age and use. Leather straps are intact and supple; chrome tubing shows light patina consistent with age. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
