Each plaque is a standalone composition: black-and-white, intricately drawn illustrations depict imaginative, romantic scenes and figures in stylized costumes. Each of the 12 plaques corresponds to a month of the calendar. The plaques feature a small hole at the edge, allowing them to be hung on the wall. They can be both decorative and functional—they also work well as coasters. The delicate lines of Wiinblad's drawings echo the distinctive tone of Scandinavian mid-century modern.
