Peruvian hardwood box with pre-Columbian textile mounted under a glass frame and secured with beautiful brass detailing. The textile is a woven fragment and dates to the pre-Columbian timeframe. The box was made mid century.
This (and the other Peruvian box we have listed) comes from a collector's estate that featured many pre-Columbian weavings and pottery pieces.
This particular box is unique, as the sterling silver solid frames are much more common. I have yet to see this particular design anywhere else.
