Exceptional pair of French 1970s saddle leather armchairs in the style of high-end European makers such as Roche Bobois.. Upholstered in thick cognac saddle leather with striking stitched detailing, these chairs feature solid oak block feet and distinctive brass accents, an elevated detail not commonly found. Sculptural and generously proportioned, they offer exceptional comfort and serious design presence.
As is typical with vintage saddle leather, the pair shows natural tonal variation and patina, which adds character and authenticity (see photos). Beautiful vintage patina. Professionally cleaned and conditioned.
A true investment pair, equally at home in a tailored traditional interior or a curated modern space.

- Very good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use, including surface markings, scuffs, and areas of patina. Chairs … moreVery good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use, including surface markings, scuffs, and areas of patina. Chairs have been professionally cleaned and treated with leather conditioner and present beautifully. One back strap on a bolster pillow is missing, and one strap on another bolster has become unstitched. A similar issue is present on the back of one larger back cushion. These do not affect comfort or function, and the cushions can be used unattached (many prefer this look). Please refer to photos for details. less
