This is an exquisite 19th century high back armchair, displaying beautiful Victorian period features.
This armchair displays a beautiful rich Elm patination to the armrests and saddle seat, only seen in quality period furniture.
This beautiful armchair has long back slats which connect to the upper back rail to create a comfortable, tall backrest.
Joined to the turned side rails of the backrest are the wonderful open armrests, that are supported by two turned spindles to either side.
Leading down this armchair has a delightful saddle seat, which could hold a small cushion.
Proudly stood on four outward splayed turned legs, connected by a lower double H-frame stretcher, providing solid structure and support for this wonderful armchair.
This Victorian armchair would add a country and farmhouse warmth to the home living, dining rooms, kitchen, or hallway settings.
