Rare and early dining room set in vivid and expressive walnut with many light tones. Designed by Henry Rosengren Hansen in 1960 and manufactured by Brande Møbelindustri/Møbelfabrik, Denmark. This amazing set was purchased in 1961 and have had only one owner. The round table has three extension leaves and the six matching chairs Model 39 have original leather upholstery.

This iconic dining set by Henry Rosengren Hansen exemplifies refined Scandinavian modernism, combining elegance, functionality, and fine craftsmanship. The table is crafted in richly grained walnut veneer, with a softly rounded oval form that can be reconfigured into a compact circular table or extended to accommodate larger gatherings. The extension system is discreet and well-integrated, the additional leaves sliding smoothly into place, maintaining the table’s clean lines and balanced proportions. Tapered legs in solid wood give the table a light, architectural presence while providing excellent stability. Extra stability is provided by the drop down leg which is released when the table is extended.

The accompanying chairs echo the table’s warm materiality and understated design. Made in matching walnut, they feature gently curved backrests that offer ergonomic support without visual heaviness. The seats are upholstered in black leather, providing a subtle contrast to the wood and adding comfort and durability. Dimensions:
The table has a diameter 120 cm without extension leaves. Height 72 cm.
Each of the three extensions leaves are 50 cm. Maximum table length is 270 cm.
The six chairs measures: Depth 48 cm, width 48 cm and height 76 cm. Seat height is 43 cm.

Condition:
Very well maintained original condition with only light patina consistent with age and use. Small nicks and scratches to the wood. Seat covers are in original black leather and shows more heavy signs of use like wear and cracks. We have kept the covers due to originality, but they can also easily be reupholstered. Wood has been cleaned and re-polished. Ready for use. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
