Espace Bleue by Aurélie Nemours for Edition Panderma, Basel, 1957This handprinted serigraph, titled Espace Bleue, is a work by Aurélie Nemours. Produced in 1957 by Edition Panderma, Basel, this piece is part of Edition of 150.Aurélie Nemours (1910–2005) was a French painter and a central figure in geometric abstraction. Influenced by Herbin and the theoretical writings of Kandinsky, she developed a style of extreme rigor, focusing on the intersection of horizontal and vertical lines and the spiritual resonance of color. Her work is often meditative, exploring the rhythm of the "Rythme du millimètre". Nemours sought the absolute in art, reducing composition to its purest structural elements.Condition:
