There are two of these rugs available, with one being a few feet bigger than the other. This rug is the smaller one and measures 72" x 108" inches. Its hard to determine how old the rug is without a prefessionals input, however they do match the style and constructuion of peak american folk art (early 1900's). The previous owner claimed they were displayed in a folk art museum in the 1980's and still have the display tags. This one is numbered 38 and stamped March 29th 1988. This is not when the rug was made, but when it was displayed. There are no other markings on the pieces besides an apparent signatue on this rug that is pictured, but I can not make it out. Great historical piece with tons of detail that show off even better in person!

Please note these rugs were stored in a box in a basement for a number of years. They have never had water or any other form of damage done to them, however from the combination of age and storage there may be a slight musty smell. See less
