About the photograph: At the beginning of the 20th century, women's beach attire included wide-legged trousers, extending down to the ankle, over which long skirts and petticoats were worn. As for prints, the only ones allowed are stripes , red and white or blue and white.The fabrics used are based on traditional thick wool which, once in water, soaks up the water and deforms.
