This Joan Miro rare vintage 1961 Mid Century Modernist fine art lithograph print " Murales - Peintures " custom framed Paris exhibition poster is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The lithograph print poster is published by The Galerie Maeght Paris, printed in France in 1961 by Maeght Editeur Imprimeur in an unnumbered limited edition on the occasion of the " Murales - Peintures "exhibition of the artworks of the artist Joan Miro.
Joan Miro ( 1893 - 1983 ) the Spanish born painter, sculptor, and ceramicist of Jewish descent is considered to be one of the most important Abstract artists of all time. Earning international acclaim, his work has been interpreted as Surrealism, and breaking through boundaries of traditional concepts of the composition of an aesthetic image. He had significant influence on The Late 20th Century Abstract Expressionist artists. The artworks of Miro are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.
Visionary genius Aime Maeght opened his infamous art gallery The Galerie Maeght in 1945 in Paris France. Coinciding with the end of World War II and the return of many exiled artists back to France. The greatest artists of the time exhibited at the gallery including Francis Bacon, Georges Braque, Alexander Calder, Marc Chagall, Wasily Kandinsky, Ellsworth Kelly, Richard Lindner, Henri Matisse, Joan Miro, Paul Rebeyrolle, and Walasse Ting, among many others.
In addition to being a gallerist and art dealer, Aime and his sone Adrien also founded Maeght Editeur which is recognized as one of the most important and influential publishers of lithographs, books, and fine art posters in the world, such as this exquisite exhibition poster print.
The rare out of print Mid Century Modernist framed fine art exhibition poster measures 195/8" W X 26 5/8" H X 1 3/8" D.
It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern recessed detail matte eggshell finish black metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.
It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " clean vintage condition consistent with age, very light signs of handling, and some very light minor wear. It is brand newly custom framed and has never been displayed. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price.
