This specific piece was created by the esteemed Artesanía Talaverana workshop, as evidenced by their hand-painted mark on the reverse. The central motif features a stylized bird from the classic Serie de los Pájaros, a design lineage dating back to the 18th century when Spanish potters sought to emulate the elegance of imported Chinese porcelain. The bird is framed by delicate floral "ramitos" and scrolling foliage, all applied with the fluid, sketchy brushwork that is the signature of the region's master artisans.
