Pair of original late-1700s hand-colored copper plate engraved Seashell prints. Based on illustrations by the French artist Nicolas Marechal (1753-1803). Published in the French natural history encyclopedia "Tableau Encyclopedique et Méthodique des Trois Regnes de la Nature" by Charles-Joseph Panckoucke.
Shells shown on the prints include Unicorns (L) and Mitre (R).
These are original antique Seashell prints - not reproductions. Each engraving measures 7 x 10 inches. They are in excellent condition with no imperfections. Carefully packaged in an archival plastic sleeve with backing board, and shipped in a cardboard flat mailer with cardboard insert. Includes a certificate with additional information.
Multiple print purchases are combined into a single shipment which can reduce the total shipping charge.
