This covered jar was produced by the Fostoria Glass Company in its recognized Coin pattern, rendered in aqua ice blue pressed glass.
The cylindrical body is encircled by evenly spaced raised coin medallions that create crisp relief and strong light refraction. The original domed lid is retained, finished with a faceted finial that echoes the geometric character of the pattern.
Coin glass was a staple of mid-20th-century American glass production, valued for its balance of utility and decorative presence. Originally intended for candy, mints, or tabletop storage, the form is now collected as representative American pressed glass.
Measuring approximately 6.5 inches in height, the jar is suited for sideboards, shelves, or curated groupings of mid-century glass.
