Authentic African Kuba Mud Cloth. Kuba Textile. Raffia Cloth.
Kuba cloth is traditionally made from the leaves of the raffia palm tree . The men harvest and prepare the fibers, which are then woven into panels. There are four decorated panels in this textile. Women typically embroider the intricate patterns into the woven base cloth.
This textile has orange beads and cowrie shells which can indicate status or wealth. These Kuba cloths were historically used for various purposes, including ceremonial skirts, wall hangings, and as currency.
Pictures show you each and every angle, no hidden damage. Fraying shown on bottom of textile.
