A Samson Armorial box, … Read more Vintage antique porcelain box from the 19th century, by French Edme Samson Porcelaine de Paris, France. A Samson Armorial box, handmade and hand-painted in France around 1910 by the Cantillon family. It bears the hallmark, signature, and number on the base and is decorated with gold leaf. It is in very good condition, as seen in the photos. Measurements: 24cm diameter x 7cm high. Decorated with vintage 19th-century flowers. Edmé Samson (born in Paris, 1810; died in Paris, 1891), founder of the ceramics firm Samson, Edmé et Cie (commonly known as Samson Ceramics). It has a lid and is in perfect working order.
