Belgium / 1910 / Photo Frame / copper and glass / Art Nouveau
An exquisite Belgian photo frame from the early 20th century, crafted circa 1910 in the height of the Art Nouveau movement. The oval structure is formed from warm-toned copper, richly embossed with flowing floral and foliate motifs that echo the organic elegance of the period. Its sinuous lines and naturalistic detailing reflect the influence of French and Belgian decorative arts, while the inset glass panel offers a clear view for portrait or artwork display.
The frame’s sculptural quality and refined craftsmanship make it more than a functional object, it is a decorative statement, ideal for collectors of Jugendstil or lovers of romantic interiors.
Very good antique condition with gentle patina and minor signs of age consistent with use. A poetic piece of turn-of-the-century design, imbued with charm and character.
