Originally intended as a carpet design this pattern has been carefully refined retaining its distinctive shaping and introducing meandering elements into a soft ogee. Printed on a chunky natural hemp blend base cloth in an authentic palette tulip heads and acanthus leaves interlace typical of Morris's enigmatic hand.
