Art Glass Graal Goblet by Wilke Adolfsson 1988
A large goblet made of art glass, designed and produced by the Swedish glass artist Wilke Adolfsson in 1988. Blue and orange glass decorated using the Graal technique and with a clear glass overlay. The cup depicts a tropical jungle scene with a warrior as well as palm trees, monkeys, gifaffes and birds. Signed in the glass body 'WA88' and on the base 'Wilke Adolfsson - 88 - 0137'.
Wilke Adolfsson (*1940) worked as glassmaker for the Orrefors glassworks from 1963 to 1973. In 1979 he founded the glass studio Stenshyttan in Transjö together with Ann Wärff (Wolff). Since 1983 he runs his own glass studio in Orrefors, Sweden.
