1970s Tommaso Barbi Conchiglia Floor Lamp, Italy

The lamp is in good vintage condition and is structurally sound. The brass surface presents with an attractive, naturally developed patina consistent with age, along with areas of surface pitting, most noticeable toward the base. The brass could be professionally polished to a higher shine if desired; however, it has been left in its current state, as many collectors prefer the character and warmth of the patina. The lamp retains its original wiring and is currently functional (the light turns on). Due to age, the wiring shows visible wear, fraying and damage, and the cord length is relatively short for a floor lamp. As such, rewiring is recommended prior to regular use.
