The piece is deliberately shaped around the natural growth of the wood: flowing lines, knots, cavities, and inclusions have not been concealed, but instead carefully embraced to create a powerful, organic composition.

Based on the grain pattern, the warm reddish-brown core, and the evident density, the wood is most likely keyaki (Japanese zelkova), a high-quality Japanese hardwood renowned for its expressive grain and exceptional durability.
