The rounded ovoid form features expressive facial detailing and a distinctive tobi-dashi mechanism, with mechanically extending eyes designed to slide outward—an advanced feature requiring precise drilling and fitting at this scale.

The surface is smoothly polished with a warm light-toned appearance, consistent with high-grade synthetic or composite materials used in late 20th-century netsuke production for collectors.
