Huysum was among the most influential Dutch still life painters of the late 17th/early 18th centuries. Painting features lush pink, white, red, and gold flowers and foliage arranged in a dramatic yet harmonious display against a dark, atmospheric background. Painting is presented in an ornately carved and gilded frame, heavily detailed with scrolling acanthus leaves and Rococo flourishes. Signed in the base of the urn. Image itself measures: 19 high x 16" wide.
