I love, love love this beautiful charger from Japan, which is somewhat rare. The color combination is spectacular. This is a Japanese Arita ware plate, probably from the 17th or 18th century. Sometimes plates like these were also made in China to imitate Japanese export porcelain.
The blue and orange palette is typical of this genre. It provides a wonderful profusion of painted flowers that will wake up or complement any decor.
