A soothing and very pleasant mid-century modernist style still life that presents a luminous arrangement of flowers and fruit, executed in oil onto board.

At the centre, a white ceramic vase holds a lively bouquet of blossoms: soft blue, deep red, vivid yellow and indigo – set against a dramatic background of shadowed navy and pale grey. The floral forms are loosely defined yet full of character, capturing the spontaneity and freshness of a moment observed.

Below, an assortment of apples, plums and a single green pear are scattered casually across the tabletop. Their rounded forms and warm tones create a pleasing counterbalance to the vertical elegance of the vase. A patterned drape in soft blue with warm rust-orange accents adds depth and a gentle theatricality to the composition.
