A refined mid-century interior still life painting, executed in oil onto canvas.

This composition arranges everyday objects into a poised, almost architectural tableau. A bowl of brightly coloured fruit anchors the scene, set upon a warm brown tabletop alongside two citrus forms and a slender candlestick. Above, a dark mortar and pestle sits against a softly diffused window, where vertical strokes evoke sheer curtains and architectural buildings. Along the lower register, abstract floral or fruit-like motifs echo the colours above, creating a rhythmic visual balance.

Rendered in a modernist, reductive style, the painting favours simplified shapes and carefully weighted blocks of colour over fine detail.
