The piece features a mirrored base meticulously hand-engraved with a romantic figurative scene: a gentleman and a lady in 18th-century attire, set within a delicate landscape of foliage and stylized botanical elements. The engraving is executed with traditional wheel-engraving techniques, revealing remarkable control, finesse, and depth. The mirror is mounted on a wooden support, as customary in high-quality Venetian production, ensuring stability while preserving the reflective clarity of the glass. Surrounding the tray is a sculptural border in twisted clear, shaped with precision and exhibiting the characteristic tactile richness of Murano workmanship. Two finely modeled gilt brass handles complete the composition, adding a decorative accent that enhances both the visual presence and the functionality of the piece.
