They are a deep blue … Read more Offered is an extra dramatic and chic pair of hand blown glass hurricane candle holders. They are a deep blue at the top and gradient to amber at the bottom - this color combination is sometimes called Bluerina or Aurora, after sun-up on the horizon, and has been used by Goran Warff for Kosta Boda and Pukeberg, and by Denby Milnor Sweden. It is also found in many Murano Art Glass sommerso pieces. We were so excited to find these as they are a joy to photograph, see them with a lit pillar candle and next to a wine bottle for scale. The shape is clean lined and timeless, an open ended cylinder to place over a disc base for candles, or directly on your table or mantel. We believe the blue side is the top as it is slightly rounded and smooth. The amber side has a flat ground raw edge, perfect to keep it stable on flat surfaces. These are perfect for indoor or outdoor use, and the color will enchant you with a candle glowing inside.
