Genuine antique Ironstone China luncheon plate constructed in England in the mid-1800's.
Five deep blue motifs are spread around the edge of the plate, connected by a gold geometric and floral pattern. The center of the plate features a delicate bouquet of pink, yellow and green flowers.
Ironstone is made from fired clay mixed with china stone. England did not start stamping pottery with either "England or Made in England" until the late 1880s, so we know this China was constructed previous to that.
