The Restoration Hardware Cayden Campaign Nightstand, designed by the Van Thiels, draws inspiration from 19th-century European campaign furnishings. The collection is defined by its honest proportions, clean silhouettes, and utilitarian elegance—elevated through refined detailing and exceptional materials.

Crafted from solid American white oak with a richly textured, wire-brushed surface, the Cayden nightstand is finished in Waxed Grey Oak, a warm, muted tone that highlights the natural grain of the wood. Hand-cast Pewter hardware and exposed corner brackets add an authentic campaign aesthetic, while tapered legs and balanced proportions lend subtle sophistication.

All metal hardware is hand cast using the traditional lost-wax (cire perdue) method, resulting in subtle variation and character unique to each piece. Variations in wood grain, texture, and metal finish are inherent to the artisan process and are intentionally celebrated.

CONDITION | NEW OPEN BOX

Manufactured in March 2025, this nightstand is new open box and presents in excellent overall condition.

During inspection, a few minor cosmetic touch-ups were completed to ensure the piece presents at a high standard. These include:

• Subtle wood touch-ups around one metal bracket, consistent with normal handling and transport
• The top surface was not affected and remains in excellent condition
• Minor splits in select metal components, which were repaired and now read as seamless, blending naturally into the hand-cast pewter’s intentionally aged, artisan finish

These refinements do not detract from the appearance, function, or integrity of the nightstand and are visually consistent with the character-driven materials and finishes used throughout the Restoration Hardware Cayden Campaign collection.

As with any open box item that has been handled or transported, very minor, inconspicuous signs of handling may be present. Overall, the piece presents beautifully and is ready for placement.
